Clark looked from him to Sam as the two brothers stared at him. "Uh, I was cutting through her back yard. Just didn't get here on time." He took Chloe's arm. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Clark." She looked from him to Dean. "The thing took off when they got here. It didn't get a chance to really hurt me."

"That looks like it hurts." Clark placed a hand on the cut on her head.

She smiled and brushed his hand away. "I'm okay, really."

Dean shot Clark a stern look. "We've got it covered, thanks." He placed his arm around Chloe's shoulder. "Let's get you out of here."

Chloe looked back at Clark, as Dean led her to the car. She frowned slightly at the look on his face. "I'm okay." She muttered under her breath.

"What?" Dean asked, looking at her.

"Oh, nothing." She looked back again to see that Clark was gone.

"Hey, where'd he go?" Sam asked, climbing in the back seat of the car.

Dean looked back at Chloe's yard and a suspicious look passed over his face. "Sure did take off fast."

Chloe just smiled. "He knows I'm okay." She climbed in the passenger seat of Dean's Impala.

Dean shook his head as he started the engine. "If you don't want to go to the hospital, where would you like us to take you?"

Chloe shook her head. "I don't know. My family doesn't live here anymore. I know I could stay with Clark. You could..."

"You can stay in the hotel with us." Dean interrupted.
