Sam started laughing. Clearing his throat when Dean looked over his shoulder, he fell silent.
Chloe looked at Sam for a minute and then looked back at Dean. "If you're sure you don't mind."
"He doesn't mind." Sam spoke up, hiding a smile.
"Shut up, Sammy." Dean said and then grinned at Chloe. "I don't mind."
Chloe flashed him a beautiful smile. "Thanks."

The next day, Dean dropped Chloe off at the school. "I'll be back here right after to pick you up."
Chloe nodded and stepped out of the car. "I'll see you then." She waved at him as he drove away and walked toward the building.
"Hey." Clark said, walking up. "I'm really sorry about last night. I should have gotten there sooner."
"Clark, we both know that you are super fast, but you can't be everywhere at once. Besides, I'm okay." Chloe smiled at him.
"Thanks to Dean and his brother." Clark said in a flat tone.
"Yeah." Chloe stopped walking and turned to Clark. "Why are you so bothered by them?"
"I'm not bothered by them." Clark shook his head. "I just don't know them. I'm worried about you, Chloe."
"Well, don't." Chloe placed her hand on his arm. "I'm fine." She smiled at him and walked towards her class.
